Siri will offer ‘Today at Apple’ session suggestions to users, starting with iOS 12.2

In the last hours Apple published the third beta of iOS 12.2 for developers, and among the main news of this version it was found that the company has improved the Siri functionality to help spread the knowledge of its Today at Apple initiative.

According to 9to5Mac, when installing iOS 12.2 users will find a new switch located at Settings> Siri and Search> Apple Store. Apple has added a feature called “Search for interests in other applications” , which when enabled, **will offer Siri suggestions for Today at Apple sessions, provided they are based on the user’s installed applications and use of Safari.

To give an example, iOS device users with Procreate on their iPad will see Siri start suggesting a daily drawing session. Or in case they use many training applications, Siri could suggest the Walk of the Day to improve their health and wellbeing .

Some of the relevant changes introduced by this version are

  • Support for AirPlay 2 on TVs from the Home app
  • Four new animojis.
  • Apple News in Canada.
  • Changes to the screen share icon in the Control Centre.
  • New icon for the Bag in MacOS app.
  • Small changes in the Wallet app in its interface.

It is very likely that the final version of iOS 12.2 and watchOS 5.2 will probably arrive in the coming weeks officially . For the time being, users registered with the Apple betas program or iOS developers can download iOS 12.2 in beta.
