It is very fascinating to know through patents what the future could bring , unfortunately, many of them do not see the light, staying in a possibility for a better opportunity, but that does not take away the interest of knowing the plans of the company for future developments.
This is how we now know that Apple has gone through the U.S. patent office again, this time to register two new patents which have been named as: “Automatic identification of the vehicle’s location” and “Location of the vehicle in places of difficult communication”, which tells us about a possible implementation as seen in “Find my iPhone” but adapted to our car .
With these patents, we would be before the possibility that by means of Siri we can know, and even guide us, until the location of our car , this in cases of robbery, loss or simply so that it tells us where we have parked, function similar to what happens at the moment with “Search my iPhone”, but here the car would have to be equipped with CarPlay to be in constant communication with our device.
The interesting thing here is the fact that one of the patents talks about being able to locate the car even if we have no data signal on the iPhone , which would give us the possibility to reach the car via WiFi, Bluetooth and even GPS, this thanks to the connection established with CarPlay.
Without a doubt, the idea is very attractive, since would make the car a device that we can access through our iPhone , which opens up a host of additional possibilities.
