With iOS 12, great new features have arrived in a design that has changed very little. Apple has focused this year on improving system performance and we haven’t had any major design changes, but that doesn’t mean that some interesting new features haven’t arrived.

One of them is the improvement when sharing passwords, we already saw something similar to share the Wi-Fi password with other iOS devices, with iOS 12 comes the possibility of share any password by AirDrop .

Sharing a Password with AirDrop

A complete password system has been available for several iOS versions. In the iCloud keychain we can store the passwords of any web or app and these will be autocompleted when we identify ourselves with Face ID or Touch ID.

All these passwords are accessible from the settings and we can access them at any time, but with iOS 12 we can also share them with an acquaintance thanks to AirDrop. This is how it’s done.

  • The first thing is to have iOS 12 installed, from here we tell you how to do it.
  • Once we have the iOS 12, we go on our iPhone or iPad to Settings.
  • Now we click on Passwords and Accounts.
  • Click on the first option that appears, Web and app passwords.
  • To enter we must identify ourselves with either a code, Touch ID or Face ID.
  • Once inside we can see all the passwords we have stored.
  • Now all we have to do is select the one we want to share.
  • Once inside, click on the password, click on AirDrop and select the contact to whom you want to send the password.
