Just when we thought the Samsung marketing guys had finally gotten over the nonsense of comparing their products with Apple’s, they arrive again to prove us wrong. And that’s because Samsung’s new advertising campaign strikes directly at Apple’s iPhone 6 . Wrong.
Just yesterday Samsung published two new videos in which compares the qualities of the camera of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge , its wireless charging and the curved edges of the screen. And while they don’t tell a lie this time around, comparing and undercutting your opponent is the lowest form of advertising there is.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and iPhone 6 displays
In the first video we can see how the curved screen of the Edge -its main feature- compares with the normal screen of the iPhone 6. This is a matter of taste, but personally I don’t find the curved screen more attractive than the curiosity of being curved. This is a matter of taste, but personally I don’t find it more attractive than the curiosity that it is curved.
In the second video we can see how the camera of the iPhone 6 compares with the one of the Edge , here the Samsung mobile boasts a slightly bigger picture thanks to being a little more panoramic. On the other hand, they show how the Edge is able to charge wirelessly by placing it on a dock . In other words, it is charging with a technology that has been on the market for a couple of years and is still not universal or useful to use. Well.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a great phone. I’ve been personally testing it and the truth is that it’s one of the few Android phones worth buying today. However, this doesn’t mean that in order to advertise it should be compared to the competition. Because at the end of the day what counts is the sales that each one gets, and in this aspect there is no comparison in which the sales of the iPhone 6 compared to those of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge fit.
