It has been several months since the Korean brand promised to offer iPhone support for the Gear S2 . They did not actually promise it as such, but an application showing it was leaked, but it had never been released. Now it finally reaches users in the form of a beta, showing the company’s intentions to offer its smart clock to iPhone users as well.
Samsung’s Gear S2 is one of the most advanced and complex intelligent watches of the moment, along with the Apple Watch and the Moto 360 are the most sold and demanded by the public. Although it is true that on an iPhone is much more limited than on an Android phone , the possibilities it offers are more than enough.
So if you want to buy a Gear S2 for use with your iPhone you should know that you need to have an iPhone 5 or higher and at least iOS 8.4 or higher. As we mentioned, the application is only a beta for now, so if you want to test it before its release you should sign up for the betas program.
Taking into account the expiry date of the beta, it is possible that the final application and for all the public will arrive soon . Samsung’s Gear S2 was presented more than a year ago at IFA 2015 in Berlin, so one year is a more than reasonable time to fully develop the application for iOS.
