iOS 7 gets most of the attention for what is expected from WWDC 2013. Much is being said about the redesign, new and more detailed features of the mobile operating system. Still, there are other rumors about the Apple world worth noting this week.
- We started with OSXDaily where not only an interface with flatter icons and a new quick function access panel to activate/deactivate functions such as wifi, GPS, etc… would see the light but also an aesthetic change to a black and white UI. But watch out, nothing radical. It would be like we illustrated above, image of OSXdaily.
- Appleinsider comment that the next generation of the iPad would include a microphone on the back, next to the camera like the iPhone 5. A feature that seems to have been present in the iPad mini although it was finally not included in the first generation.
- It’s not a rumor as such but if the new MacBooks include the next chips from Intel, Haswell, we could see how the new generation of laptops would increase their battery life by 50%. That’s what Xataka is telling us. If the autonomy of computers like MacBook Air is already very good with 50% more it would be surprising.
Anything else? Well, that’s pretty much it. As I say the theme of iOS 7 almost monopolizes the Apple rumorology . What I find curious is that there is no comment about the Mac Pro. I admit that I’m still waiting and hoping to see it. Tim Cook promised and what better time than the developers conference. There are also not many details about new devices beyond some internet components like wifi cards with 802.11ac support.
Fifteen days left until the keynote and the truth is that it would be great if no rumor or leak could spoil any possible surprise, don’t you think?
