Its creators have it clear: they are going to create a sequel to the game .
At the Virtual Goods Summit held in London, the CEO of Rovio (the company responsible for the game) Peter Vesterbacka commented on some details about Angry Birds 2 , a game that might not be called that:
In addition to this hint, Peter has commented that he wants to include multiplayer games in the game, so it would look somewhat like the Worms saga. Unfortunately a suitable way to implement this functionality in an intuitive and usable way has not yet been found.
We don’t have dates or more concrete details of what the sequel to Angry Birds might be, but Rovio is clear about it: “We want Angry Birds to be even bigger than Tetris”. It’s a very difficult challenge, but seeing all the furore the birds are arousing, I wouldn’t be surprised if they succeed.
