The Keynote has started, figures and more figures in its beginning, but it seems that Apple is starting to uncover its aces. Now it’s time for the MacBook Pro. After the leap, you’ll have all the data that’s come up so far, and yes, ladies and gentlemen, we have MacBook Pro with a Retina Display.
That’s right, kids, the Keynote has begun. The ritual has been the same as always: Tim Cook in the limelight, figures, adding a couple of points to the company’s ego and, in short, everything that Apple has accustomed us to.
It’s the MacBook Pro’s turn. The most powerful range of Apple notebooks gets a new look. Add the new Intel Ivy Bridge processors . The 13-inch model doesn’t get a major graphics makeover, but its big brother mounts the NVIDIA Kepler graphics chip . So we can see that all models will have USB 3.0 (Finally!). Here is an image that better specifies the features:
With that phrase they introduce the new model. We found a renovation on the outside and inside. The new MacBook Pro is thinner, 18 millimeters and weighs considerably less, 2.02 kg to be exact. What’s new inside? The long-awaited Retina Display with 2880x1800px , 220PPP. The Retina Display employs IPS technology to achieve a wide viewing angle of 178 degrees , and a twenty-nine percent higher contrast than the previous generation. This new range at last breaks away from the SuperDrive to leave room for QuadCore i7 processors with up to 16GB of RAM and a separate NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M graphics card. Also available is flash storage with up to 768GB .
As far as connections go, the expected. SD card reader, HDMI output, USB 3.0 and headphone output . There is also a thinner MagSafe connector. All this is accompanied by a battery with a autonomy of 7 hours and thousand charging cycles . Apple once again gets power and a duration very close to that of the iPad.
It’s more than clear that we all have our mouths watering with these configurations but, what about the prices? Depending on the configuration we choose, the price will be as follows:
- The 15-inch MacBook Pro with a 2.3GHz Intel Core i7 quad-core processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.3GHz, 8GB of memory, and 256GB of flash storage will be priced at $2,279.
- MacBook Pro with a 2.6GHz Intel Core i7 quad-core processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.6GHz, 8GB of memory, and 512GB of flash storage is available starting at $2,899.
They will also give us the option of faster processors, 16 GB of RAM and up to 768 GB of Flash memory.
