But this new version doesn’t just take advantage of the graphics power of the iPad 2 and the new iPhone 4S, it also offers a new split-screen mode for up to four players that promises to be spectacular.
This mode, called Party Play , uses AirPlay to display the image from each device on our living room HDTV; allowing us to enjoy split-screen racing with up to three other friends. The bad news is that for this to be possible, at least one of the players will have to have an iPad 2 or an iPhone 4S, serving as the game’s host.
According to the company’s blog, the update should arrive on the App Store shortly, probably coinciding with the launch of iOS 5 next week. Like many other titles, Real Racing 2 comes in two flavours: the normal version for 3.99 euros and the exclusive HD version for 5.49 euros. The Party Play feature will be free for all current users.
