Control iTunes from your iPhone with ‘Remote

Did you know that you can control iTunes from your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or Apple Watch with the application called Remote? Here we tell you more about this application and how to use it .

Remote allows us to control iTunes on our Mac from any of our Apple devices . That is, this application allows us to control from an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Apple Watch. It is very easy to use and you can download it for one or all of these devices here.

How do you link to this application?

As we have already mentioned its use is very simple, but you need a link between the application and the iTunes library or libraries to start using it . All you need is for your mobile device and your computer to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Now, you need to open your Remote application on your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or Apple Watch Home screen . Once inside, and as long as you’re connected to the wireless network, it will prompt you to add an iTunes library. The moment you want to ‘Add a Library’ you’ll be prompted with a code which you’ll need to enter into iTunes on your Mac.

Now it’s time to open iTunes on your computer, look for the Remote application icon at the top left. A window will open asking you for the code that came out on your mobile device. Simply type it in and iTunes will sync with your device automatically.

From this point on, whenever you open the application and iTunes is on on your computer, you can control your library from any of the devices you have linked .

How do you use it?

It couldn’t be easier to use. With the Remote application open on our device, we have to select which file we want to play and it will start playing on our computer .

As you can see in the image below, on my iPhone I can see my entire iTunes library and by selecting album and track it starts playing on my MacBook . With this application it couldn’t be easier to listen to our favorite songs without having to move to select them.
