A random thought, a random image… Starting a conversation isn’t easy sometimes, but fortunately, there’s already an app for that. Rando, it’s called “random” and that’s basically what it does: send a random quote, picture or GIF via text message, or post it on Facebook or Twitter. Both the quotes and the GIFs are obtained automatically, but the photos will be those of the user himself.
It will be the user himself who chooses what he wants to send. If it’s a photo, the application will randomly take it from our reel, which can be a bit risky for those who are concerned about privacy. If it’s a GIF , it will choose content based on themes , and the same goes for quotes. The idea is not bad, since it can be the starting point for a fun exchange both through messages and social networks.
But really what is most interesting about this app, is that it gives the user the option to send the content blindly , without the sender himself knowing what he is sending or publishing, and from there imagine how curious the reactions are. The application is completely free and you can start sending blind messages right away. As The Verge points out, one drawback of it is that it adds a signature to the messages in order to promote itself (which can be deleted, of course).
