Puzzles, races with friends and the magnificent Frozen Synapse. Arcadesfera

After two bland weeks the release list of the AppStore allows us to embark once again on our vice section Arcadesfera , the compilation with the best games of the week for your iOS devices to smoke while you have a few laughs.

Laughing or crying, that’s up to each of you, but you won’t be bored because the four games below are a good handful of hours of screen time. Let’s get to know them.

Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery: Episode 1

I was looking forward to a Professor Layton-style game on iOS and, although there are options, none have seemed as worked out so far as what I found in Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery . The story is fine, but we all know that in this kind of games it is the least important thing, here the important thing is what it offers in playable matter, and you can talk about that openly without fear of blushing.

We accompany Jacob Jones and his friend the Bigfoot to unravel the mysteries that the Eagle Feather Camp hides, and for that we will have to face a bag of puzzles of logic, ability, mathematics… in short, that our fingers will work at the same level as our mind.

Gravity Guy 2

We all know Gravity Guy, the original game is one of the funniest endless runners the smartphone game world has ever given birth to, and this second installment is a summation and continues to check out how fast the hours go by when you’re having fun.

There is a change of rules, and that, besides being surprising, turns out to be an excellent idea. We continue to play with gravity and the power to travel up and down the stage will eventually come out, but that’s not all this second installment proposes. Raise money, buy upgrades and new characters and you’ll soon forget about raising the first title to crown this new king.

Frozen Synapse

Expensive and iPad only. At first sight it seems to be the least appealing offer of the week but, oh my friend, let this game go and you’ll be regretting it all your life. Frozen Synapse has already been walking around other platforms for some time and reaping rewards at the drop of a hat, so its arrival to iOS forces us, at least, to seriously consider its purchase.

The trailer, which belongs to the PC version, doesn’t make the objective of the game too clear, but this action and strategy title is one of those proposals that will hook you within minutes of starting to play. Youtube can help you to decide its acquisition, but before discarding the idea, keep in mind that it is, at least, one of the five best games that has stepped on the Apple platform. That’s it.

Chasing Yello Friends

As usual, we closed the Arcadesfera with a free proposal, one that cannot be compared in quality to the other titles presented but that, nevertheless, can bring us many laughs if we have friends with whom to compete directly.

If you remember the game Chasing Yello I imagine that you already know where the shots go. This time we accompany the cute little fish in a race against other players in real time. A multiplayer game that works like a charm, and although we might think otherwise, the use of pay items doesn’t hurt the experience at all. I haven’t put a penny in and I’ve already won several races, so don’t worry about the ugly pay-to-win fad.
