I’m sure many of you have been waiting for this like water from May. Hasn’t anyone gotten tired of seeing both the iTunes Preview web page and the iTunes itself appear when you click on a link to a song or app on the App Store displaying the same information? This is really annoying for me, and TUAW has come up with a solution to avoid it.
In order to solve this problem we have to use RCDefaultApp, the free preference panel we “already talked about”:https:/www.Apple.comgeneralrcdefaultapp-cambia-las-aplicaciones-por-defecto-rapidamente some months ago. Once we have it installed in our system preferences panel, we access the URLs tab and disable the itms:/, itunes:/ and itmss:/ links (you’ll see that by default these are links that iTunes opens).
“TUAW”:http: Once this has been done, we can see how clicking on an “iTunes Preview” link:https:/www.Apple.comappleitunes-preview-visualiza-el-contenido-de-la-tienda-sin-abrir-itunes will simply open the web page with the information about the application or song, without iTunes appearing in the foreground.
The price for this is the links to iTunes on this page won’t work , but personally I prefer to search the applications manually before it keeps popping up in the background of my browser. Of course, the trick can be reversed if we activate the links to iTunes using RCDefaultApp again. “Ya podemos escuchar muestras de las canciones en iTunes Preview”:https:
