the arrival of the iPhone 4 in Spain and the update of the iOS 4 for the iPad , originally scheduled for autumn.
First, let’s attack the rumored dates of the second ‘wave’ of launches in 18 countries (including Spain) of the new iPhone 4: An Electronista contact has mentioned July 23rd as the day set for the launch using the information he has supposedly discovered as a result of a Canadian operator (remember that Canada is one of the countries where the iPhone 4 will also be launched next month).
However, there are more data that contradict this first date: on the Orange website they mention that the launch day of the iPhone 4 may be July 31st :
Could it be that Orange has received the release date from Apple? It’s possible, but since it’s the last day of the month and a Saturday, it could also be that Orange has set that date simply to put in a random one, while they wait for Cupertino to tell them what day will be D-day.
Apart from all this, there have been signs of what could be a slightly more concrete date for the arrival of the iOS 4 on the iPad, something that most owners are waiting for after seeing the advantages of the new system on the iPhone and iPod touch. While Apple continues to say it will launch this fall, it seems that the company is telling advertisers that the iAd platform would not be available until November .
Taking into account that the iAd platform comes from the iOS 4, it can be considered that the iOS 4 system would arrive for the iPad in November. There are still many months to go until that month, but I’m sure many will write it down on their calendar so that they’ll be clear about when they can use multitasking apps and icon folders on the Apple tablet (among many other benefits).
