Yes, you read the title correctly, Adobe has just released its version of Photoshop for the Apple mobile platform . Although it’s hard to believe, the truth is that after the success achieved by the application to edit photos from the iPhone, it was only a matter of time before Adobe took the step.
And frankly, he’s done it through the big door. The application has a sensational finish, a very fast operation , a lot of options, integrated filters and also the possibility of working with Photoshop.com in a quite transparent way.
Adobe has taken the best of the existing iPhone applications with this theme to create a version of its renowned Photoshop. The application is a mix of Camerabag and CameraKit, allows us to apply filters without more or access more complex options if we wish.
The application could have many more options, palettes, brushes, tools. But let’s be honest, using those tools from an iPhone seems little more than anecdotal. Adobe has thought of a much simpler application than all that, but at the same time useful.
In terms of functions we can find them divided by four sections at the top, so we have the following:
Cut, rotate and spin. Exposure, Saturation, Color, Black & White Sketch, Soft focus The last tab has 8 filters.
At the bottom we have an “X” to cancel any option, an undo, redo and finally we have a button to save the changes, always as a new image. Here you have an example of an image edited from the iPhone:
Applying the options is very simple, once the desired option is selected, we only need to move our finger lengthwise to apply more or less “option”. To the right the values increase and to the left they decrease.
The application is fantastic and I think it’s practically mandatory for all photography lovers and people who often use the iPhone’s camera. To top it all off, the application is free although at the moment it’s only available on the US App Store. We’ll have to wait a bit to have it in the Spanish App Store.
