PCSX2 is already allowing you to play various games with more or less acceptable results as shown in the accompanying video. A frame rate of between 50 fps and dropping to 10 fps in scenes with a multitude of moving elements.
The negative part of this good news is the difficulty, at the moment, because to execute the application requires different libraries, Xcode, a special version of X11,… and the use of the Terminal where to execute different commands.
After a whole afternoon, and following a guide made by MaXiMu in ElOtroLado.net, I managed to run the ICO game. In an iMac with Mac OS X Leopard since in my MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard was impossible for me . Once the application was working I tried to play and I didn’t get a smooth result. But I’ll keep watching, because for those who like to play old games, emulators are a must, and I hope they will soon release a compiled version that avoids so much fuss to run it.
