The trial of the copying and plagiarism charges between Samsung and Apple is far from over. If you recall, the most notorious episode occurred last summer, when the Korean company had to pay one billion dollars to the apple company.
The dates of a new episode are coming up. However, unlike the previous case, this new batch of demands includes more recent products, such as the Nexus range in which Samsung participates, as well as the new iPhone 5, fifth generation iPod Touch, iPad 4 and iPad Mini.
Again, the controversy is served. For its part, Samsung claims that the apple company is violating its patents once again , and they are asking the court to allow them to add these new devices that have just come out of the judicial process that has already been open for several months.
We assume that you have been spending the last few weeks assembling and disassembling the new iPhone 5, iPad Mini and iPad fourth generation , so that you know exactly how to justify your demand.
Therefore, if we count the new round in this legal battle includes several dozen devices from both companies. On the one hand, no more and no less than 9 Apple terminals. On the other hand, a total of 18 Samsung devices.
However, the new phase of the trial will not start until well into 2013 , and will probably not be finally resolved until a few years later. Will the companies include in their claims all the devices that will come out between now and then?
This does not look like it will end well for consumers, as it looks like neither company wants to give up.
