The CES 2015 in Las Vegas has already begun and as every year the manufacturers of technological products will take advantage of this fair to present many of their new products. One of the first manufacturers to present a product that has caught our attention is Parrot. The company has presented the RNB6, a device that can be installed with 90% of the cars and makes them compatible with Apple’s CarPlay and Android Auto , in addition to adding other features.
As we were saying, Parrot’s on-board computer offers a lot of interesting features. Among them are voice commands to set routes, voice commands to manage music, camera capable of recording video at 1080p and braking assistance by counting the meters to an obstacle, parking sensors, integrated GPS, four audio amplifiers of 55 watts each.
On top of this, the device offers support for iOS and Android devices via CarPlay or Android Auto . The system will show the interface of these two technologies depending on the device we connect and thanks to this we will be able to take advantage of the characteristics of the smarpthones in our car.
For the time being, Parrot has not disclosed the price of GNI6 and the date on which it will reach the market. We assume that the company will not take long to do so after its presentation at the CES. Of course, a product that looks tremendously good and to show the video that accompanies these lines.
How about this on-board computer? Would you install it in your car? Let’s hope other manufacturers get their act together and it will become more and more common to use CarPlay, Android Auto and other systems that will surely appear as these types of technologies become popular.
