Y OS X 10.9.2 did not start off very well . The latest system update has fixed a major security bug but seems to have dragged out a number of issues. Foros de soporte de Apple
Apart from the fact that there are still users with problems in Mail, the ones that are giving the most talk are those that affect the use of external monitors and the AirPlay function.
From disconnections, transmission of the audio but not the video, a signal that does not appear when an external monitor is connected… Although not all failures attend to a similar situation or conditions that allow isolating the failure in a more precise way. The only thing that has been identified is an error with an extension called APExtframebuffer .
Deleting this extension, and in its absence the AirParrot driver in those who have used the app, seems to be solved. To do this, as described by a user, just navigate to the relevant locations SystemLibraryExtensions and LibraryExtensions and remove both APExtframebuffer.kext and AirParrotDriver.kext . Then reboot and you’re done.
We will follow the issue closely to see if we know the reason and solution or if Apple offers a solution or explanation of the reasons that are causing such problems.
