Orange UK has teamed up with Apple to offer one film a week for free on iTunes. A good initiative to encourage the consumption of content in a legal way.
The British operator Orange has teamed up with Apple to offer its customers one film a week ‘for free’ . This is the Film To Go service and a message will have to be sent to receive the promotional code redeemable on iTunes, at a cost of 35 pence. The download of the film itself is free.
After receiving the promotional code on the mobile, it will have to be entered in iTunes. You will then have 30 days to view the film on any Apple device, and 48 hours from the first playback . Same as current rentals.
At the moment the first titles available are El luchador, El escritor, My Blueberry Nights and Che, el argentino: Primera parte. And in the next few months we will be including titles.
Today Orange or Movistar already offer a video store to their TV customers, but it would be nice some kind of agreement like the English one to be able to watch movies legally and in a very economic way (or for free) in our devices, either a Mac, an Apple TV, or an iPad.
