As you know, Apple is not present at the MWC being held these days in Barcelona, however, this does not mean that companies do not take advantage of the occasion to present products or related applications. One of these companies is Oral-B, which has brought to the MWC its new smart toothbrush, compatible with the iPhone . Procter&Gamble, the multinational company to which Oral-B belongs, presented its intelligent toothbrush for the first time at the beginning of this month, but it has taken advantage of the occasion to show it to the attendees.
This brush connects to our iPhone via Bluetooth 4.0, and through the app developed by Oral-B, called Oral Blue, it allows us to have real time information about our brushing habits . The activity is recorded on a graph that we can then share with our dentist to create customized brushing routines. This application can also be used to program the toothbrush.
While we brush our teeth, the iPhone application works as a timer that goes recording the time we take to brush our teeth , and in turn, shows us a series of news to keep us distracted in the meantime, although I do not see the point of this, but each person is a world.
In addition to Bluetooth connectivity, the Oral-B SmartSeries 7000 features six different cleaning modes including a bleaching mode, a gum care mode or even a specific tongue cleaning mode. A pressure sensor prevents us from brushing our teeth too hard.
According to Procter&Gamble, Bluetooth connectivity will be extended to other brushes, but in the meantime, the first will be the Oral-B SmartSeries 7000, which will be released later this year including several different travel accessories, for the not-so-modern price of $220 .
