The American pop rock band OneRepublic , very popular lately thanks to the success of their latest single, Counting Stars , has given a private concert at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino for the exclusive enjoyment of the workers on the block.

This is undoubtedly an event orchestrated to mark the 30th anniversary of the Macintosh but it has happened to coincide with the Beer Bash that Apple organizes for its employees every two weeks and to which they usually invite bands like Maroon 5, The Fray or Cake and singers like Colbie Caillat, Darius Rucker, Brad Paisley or Phillips Phillips.

Tim Cook has given a little speech before introducing the band of which we can see a fragment thanks to this Instagram recording:

Cook was joined at the event by many of the company’s top executives including Phil Schiller, Eddy Cue and Roger Rosner, who surely took the opportunity to have a beer with their engineers and designers on this special anniversary.

In short, that yesterday in Cupertino not a single soul worked. Between looking for his name on the commemorative posters and the party they threw afterwards, it must not have been a bad day to go to the office. We, who missed it, will have to make do with this video clip:
