The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board has made a new decision regarding its fleet of mobile phones that it provides to its employees. They have been Blackberry consumers for years, but seeing that their possibilities are truncated by these phones stuck in the past, they have decided to make a wise decision: to switch to iPhone, which thanks to its closed environment allows a much higher security than the open Android.
The NTBS (National Transportation Safety Board) of the United States, has set out to make a change in its mobile phone arsenal . Until now, they were loyal users of the Blackberry platform, the king of business until the iPhone appeared on the scene.
However, it was only a few days ago that announced that they have made switch to the iPhone . In NTBS’s own words:
Of course, Research In Motion’s people do not look up, and the future of the Blackberry is becoming more and more like that of the Nokia with Symbian: were successful phones at the time, but they have not been able to evolve to match the best . Today, in our country, the Blackberry is the perfect alternative for teenagers with little purchasing power, who get a Blackberry with a prepaid mode for little money. Anyone who wants a phone for a little serious use will not even consider Blackberry as an option.
In the only market that until now Blackberry was kept in many companies that supplied phones to their employees, but every day is more fashionable the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device), which allows companies to save a lot of money.
Still, RIM wants to give its last push before dying , launching the Blackberry 10 operating system, which wants to give a breath of fresh air to what we know today, but we are not very clear that it can be a real offensive to the competition, especially considering that Windows Phone is comfortably settled as the third in discord.
