Apple renewed Mac mini at the end of 2018 , after several years without updates. While retaining the design of previous generations, it incorporated the colour Space Grey, Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports and configuration options for up to 2TB of SSD storage and 64GB of RAM.
But as with the iMac, the ports are on the back of the device , and depending on how our workspace is organized it is not always comfortable, with some people having to move it even to connect a Flash Drive or the 3.5mm jack headphones. Satechi’s new stand, which has been specially designed for this device, solves the problem.
Satechi’s aluminium hub stand for Mac mini (2018) is the first of its kind. Adding just a few inches to the overall package (1.75 cm), Mac mini adds a nice variety of ports on the front for easy access.
We found a Micro SD card reader and another for SD cards that provide speeds of up to 104 Mbps. We also have a 3.5mm headphone jack, three USB 3.0 ports with transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps and a USB-C with the same speed as the other “traditional” USBs.
