The new OS X beta The Captain has arrived with interesting hidden news. Or almost, because Pierre Dandumont has found references to a new 21.5 inch iMac that would integrate a 4K resolution screen.

With virtually the entire product range making use of ultra-high-definition displays, the popular Retina as the brand calls it, it was somewhat shocking that the 21.5″ iMac still retained a 1080p panel.

Thus, the references found not only show the future resolution but also the Iris Pro 6200 GPU that would be used when integrating the latest Broadwell processors from Intel . You can also see references to the AMD Radeon M380, M390, M395 and M395X GPUs that would give new expansion options.

As an added bonus, the iMac range has been enhanced with a new Bluetooth remote control with multitouch and infrared support . With an apparent audio support, maybe for Siri, this one keeps some doubts but could be the new controller for an upcoming Apple TV.

As in other occasions we find this kind of data does not assure anything but it is more than likely to happen. So if the whole launch of the Apple Watch doesn’t interest you that much, Apple is still preparing more news for the next few months.
