My first impressions of iOS 11

Yes, I have taken the step and downloaded and installed the latest version of iOS, the 11th version that was presented last week at WWDC in San Jose, California. At first I was very reluctant to do so because these beta versions, and especially this one, usually come with quite a few bugs and errors. The first batches we know are not the best .

The download file for an iPhone 7 Plus is 2GB in weight and the installation didn’t take long. Once configured I could see that there were already some changes , do you want to know them?

Renewed aesthetics

At first I don’t like her very much, or at least she doesn’t call me much because I see her differently, it will be a matter of giving her time. In some places like in Mensajes it can seem poor, it reminds a lot this typography to when Apple Music was renewed. The App Store and iTunes icons are new .

Control Center

They say it’s the revolution. It draws a lot of attention and this control center is configurable, so you can add or remove features. I’ve added Wallet, Screen Recording, Alarm Clock and Do Not Disturb While Driving.

Screenshots

A great success in my opinion. By doing so you can edit that capture before saving it or sending it to a contact . If you choose the latter option, it asks you if you want to save or delete it later.

Screen recording

Another thing we missed . For those of us who work in the education sector, it’s great to be able to make a video of our walks around the screens of our iPhone. Bravo for Apple.

File folder

It installs automatically and as its name suggests it is a file manager, something that many users were missing .

Health Application

Face washing of one of the tools that is most in the mouth. Friendlier and more intuitive . Those of Cupertino join the trolley of well-being.

A lot, obviously. We didn’t want Apple to release a system with minimal errors, since the developers will be in charge of shaping it in the different betas that will be published until its final version in autumn . There are notable bugs such as Bluetooth, whose icon always appears at the top even when the control center is turned off. The same as AirDrop, it always appears as connected. As always, we would like you to leave us in comments your opinions about this version if you have had the chance to try it. What are you asking Apple to implement in the following deliveries?
