Apple has released iTunes version 12.6.2 to the public which, according to the release notes, focuses on performance improvements and fixing persistent bugs that have appeared since the last public update of iTunes . The new software for the application is also one of the many updates Apple has released, with the company updating iOS to version 10.3.3, but also macOS Sierra to version 10.12.6 , tvOS to version 10.2.2 and finally updating watchOS to version 3.2.3.

Meanwhile, the iTunes update, which is a minor update, like the other software updates for Apple’s popular platforms, Cupertino’s company is focused on fixing the problems, by bypassing aesthetics and focusing on improving application performance and behavior .

To install the latest update to iTunes, macOS users simply need to open the Mac App Store, navigate to Updates, and then select Update. The iTunes 12.6.2 update follows the iTunes update, which brought version 12.6.1 back in May of this year , which was also another minor update to the application.

iTunes has been a big hit with Apple for many years, and while the App Store is getting a major overhaul in the upcoming iOS 11 release this fall , it seems that iTunes is set to maintain its aesthetics and features for the time being. The last major software update for the app came with the release of Apple Music a couple of years ago.
