Nintendo sigue apostando por lo casual con Animal Crossing: ¿Tienen futuro los juegos “serios” en iOS?
It’s the season of financial results (Apple’s are tonight, Spanish time) and companies are taking advantage of it to make small ads. Although in the case of Nintendo, it has the potential to be very big. And this is it: Mario Kart will land on iOS in the next 12 months with a new mobile game called “Tour”.
Through the tweet above, the Japanese entertainment company has announced a new delivery for mobile platforms, which we understand are iOS and Android. We don’t know if it will be simultaneous or staggered like other games from the firm.
Nintendo is in a sweet situation after redeeming itself with the Switch . In the last quarter it has sold more than 7 million of these consoles worldwide, exceeding all sales of the Wii U.
After releasing several iOS games such as Super Mario Run, Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem, Nintendo will release a mobile version of Mario Kart specifically for mobile phones in the company’s next fiscal year. That is, between April 2018 and March 2019.
Twelve months is a wide range of time, although looking at past releases it is very likely that will be done early next year .
