Logitech introduces a new keyboard and trackpad for the Mac

Logitech today announced in a press release the expansion of its Mac line with the launch of two new products: The Logitech Bluetooth Easy-Switch Keyboard for Mac, iPad and iPhone and the Rechargeable Trackpad for Mac . The trackpad is similar to the one presented this year for Windows 8, so I had the opportunity to see and touch it (for Windows) at the presentation that took place in October in Madrid.

The Logitech Bluetooth Easy-Switch Keyboard can be paired with up to three Bluetooth devices simultaneously . The keyboard has three buttons that allow you to quickly switch between devices. Its familiar key layout for Mac users includes all the keys you need, such as the Command key, Brightness key or Mission Control key. It’s made of aluminium and has the added feature that the keys are backlit.

The backlighting of your keys makes them easier to read in low light conditions or at night. Anticipating your needs, the keypad lights up when your hands come close and the light intensity automatically increases or decreases depending on the ambient lighting. The keyboard is rechargeable via USB so you can say goodbye to batteries.

As I told you at the beginning of the post, this trackpad has also been introduced. If my eyes don’t deceive me, it differs from the Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad T650 only in the colour of the trackpad, as well as in the software, since the former had drivers and software for Windows 8. The Rechargeable Trackpad offers multi-touch control , which allows you to click, scroll, drag items, zoom and more. It has a very slim design, a generous glass surface size, which makes it very comfortable to use. In addition, the Trackpad glass has been treated so that fingerprints do not appear (or appear less) and is scratch-resistant.

Like the keyboard, the Trackpad is recharged with a USB cable and can be used while charging. With a full battery, it lasts up to one month and can be managed with a convenient on/off switch. Connects to your Mac via Bluetooth .

The Logitech Bluetooth Easy-Switch keyboard and the Logitech Rechargeable Trackpad are scheduled to be available in Europe in January 2013, at recommended prices of ?99.99 and ?69.99 respectively.
