Of course, in the current atmosphere and being the week that it is, the conversation ended up deriving in Steve Jobs, the memory Ive has of him and her opinion about the release of the umpteenth film focused on the life of the co-founder of the apple, Steve Jobs, by Aaron Sorkin and Danny Boyle, based on Walter Isaacson’s biography.

Ive said that we have all discussed at some point with any of our acquaintances and colleagues, but without the pressure of Jobs “We wouldn’t have the phones we have now” . When asked if it was a challenge to keep innovating , Cupertino’s company’s chief designer replied with a laugh: “The term torture doesn’t even come close” . Still, it’s not all bad, it seems. “I haven’t felt so happy and creative in years” .

According to the latest news, Jobs’ widow, Laurene Powell, was so determined to end Sorkin’s film that she even went so far as to personally call Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale, two of the names that came to be on the table for the role of her husband, to convince them to reject it. Powell also spoke to potential investors when the project was in Sony’s hands and was going through financing problems. Boyle admits that Powell and Apple “have not helped” , adding that “have had some difficult times. I won’t go into them.” .

But not everyone close to Jobs has closed the door on the film team. According to Sorkin, Lisa Brennan-Jobs, Steve’s first daughter, did agree to spend time with him talking about her father and their relationship.

As far as we know, Lisa plays a leading role in the three arches that make up the movie’s storyline, each in the moments leading up to the introduction of the first Mac, the NeXT station, and the iMac. Jobs denied Lisa’s paternity for years, though curiously that was precisely the name he chose for the pioneering computer in 1983. Steve claimed that the name came from Local Integrated System Architecture although his colleagues at Apple joked that it was actually Let’s Invent Some Acronym . Jobs admitted to Isaacson years later “of course it was named after my daughter” .
