We have already talked about IK Multimedia’s products on more than one occasion, one of the last was iRig HD. Now the manufacturer of iOS accessories launches iRig PRO , a device capable of allowing the connection of XLR microphones, JACK connection and MIDI devices.

The iRig PRO, with its very small size, is an ideal complement for anyone who wants to connect different types of audio devices to their iPhone or iPad. You can turn your iOS device into a small recording device but you can also connect it to your Mac.

With USB connection, Lightning and 30-pin dock, iRig PRO is compatible with iOS and OS X. It can be used with various applications, although IK Multimedia offers users AmpliTube Metal, T-RackS CS and SampleTank XT for OS X; as well as AmpliTube Free for iOS (there is a full paid version of Amplitube)

Regarding connections, as we have said it supports: mic input, combo input for XLR or jack connectors. For condenser microphones used in studios, a 9V battery is provided to provide phantom power. In addition we have a gain control wheel.
