These include the Apple iPhone, which is usually manufactured in China.

But Donald Trump’s import tariffs on products do not mean that China will pay millions and millions of dollars into the U.S. coffers. In fact, not a single dollar has been paid from China throughout history because of these fees. The fact is that those who end up paying these fees are usually the American companies and me the consumers.

Since most of their devices are manufactured in China, Apple can decide whether they want to pay a part of the fees or the total. Until now, the signature of the bitten apple has absorbed the total cost of the tariffs (in the United States) in products like the Apple Watch. But other companies prefer to add an additional cost on their products so that consumers pay the fees for importing goods.
