The success of Apple’s iPhone 6 and 6 Plus is not only reflected in its sales records but can also be measured by the number of clones that come to market and that lead other companies, not minor ones, to try to clone it with their devices. This has led them on occasion to design a smartphone that practically copies or plagiarizes the design of Apple’s phone, some almost exactly.
The phenomenon of iPhone 6 copying is more typical of China, where all the iPhone 6 clones arrive and where intellectual property laws are either absent or not enforced in most cases.
Let’s look at some examples:
Lenovo S90 “Sisley”
If you look at the image that accompanies this paragraph, you’d almost say it’s an iPhone 6, if it weren’t for the word Lenovo that’s silk-screened on the back of the phone. Lenovo is not exactly a secondary or little known brand, it is the current king of the laptop market.
This obvious clone of the iPhone 6 features a 5-inch screen, bringing it closer to the 6 Plus model. It also features AMOLES technology and a slim 6.9mm design, which matches Cupertino’s design. Inside, it offers a Qualcomm quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and an 8Mp front camera and 13Mp main camera. Of course, it is a smartphone with Android and can be found in three colors, very similar to those of Apple: Silver, gold, space gray and pink.
Funny word game “SoPhone i6” What does it remind you of? Between the name and the obvious similarity of the design, this Chinese clone is one of the most obvious plagiarisms to Apple’s iPhone 6.
The terminal also has Dual SIM, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which seems a little outdated, a MediaTek quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and only 4GB of internal memory, which can be expanded using a MicroSD card. The most attractive thing is its tight price, only 110 euros at the exchange rate.
We arrive at the most evident plagiarism of all and not only for the aesthetics, since this Chinese clone copies even the iOS interface, which is actually Android 4.2 Jelly Bean modified to look like Apple’s operating system.
This model is offered in two different versions, one with a dual-core processor, which costs only 100 euros, and another with four cores, which costs up to 150 euros at the exchange rate. Both have 1GB of RAM, a 5-inch screen and an 8Mp main camera. The company is known for its copies or clones and has already copied Samsung on other occasions and this time it copies to iPhone 6.
This smartphone is where the design of the iPhone 6 is most evident, but in his case is the terminal with fewer features, but also the cheapest, only 80 euros. It has a 4.7-inch screen, a MediaTek quad-core processor and a 13Mp main camera. It is perhaps the RAM memory where the terminal is a bit scarce, with only 512Mb.
Dakele Big Cola 3
The Dakele Big Cola 3 was one of the first iPhone 6 clones from Apple to come out, it’s called Dakele 3 but it’s better known as Big Cola 3 , it works with KeleUI2.0 based on Android 4.4 KitKat and its price is 240$ or 210 euros at the change. It impresses with its 8 MediaTek processor cores that work at 1.7GHz frequency and its 3GB of RAM.
We ended up with another clone that mimics Apple’s iOS interface and one of the closest designs to iPhone 6 of all those we offer in this list.
It has a 4.7-inch screen of 720p, a quad-core processor, a 16Mp camera, 1GB of RAM and a slim design that reaches 7mm. Once again it has Android and its price is 155 ? approximately.
And these are the 6 most “grotesque” clones of the iPhone 6 , that we have met thanks to MovilZona. I’m sure you know some more plagiarism that we haven’t mentioned, don’t forget to leave it in the comments.
