The iPhone 5S could be the most successful launch in Apple’s history
The latest product Apple launched was the iPad Mini in November last year (not counting the June renewal of MacBook Air). Since then, we’ve all been waiting for the apple company to introduce some new product. Some of us are looking forward to it because we are dedicated to it and because we love technology, but others, like investors, are looking forward to it because are beginning to doubt Apple’s ability to innovate .
It’s probably this expectation that is causing Apple’s stock to rise steadily over the past few weeks. The product drought seems to be coming to an end, since, according to all the rumors, the new iPhone 5S will be released on September 10th, probably together with its little brother, the iPhone 5C.
iPhone 5S, overwhelming success or resounding failure?
As we have already mentioned on many occasions, the new Cupertino’s flagship is expected to be practically identical to the current iPhone 5 but with internal changes. When the rumours about the iPhone 5S started many were quick to say that if Apple followed its usual strategy and released a “S” version of the current iPhone 5, this would be a failure due to the possible absence of any major new features .
However, today an analyst named Chowdhry has published that the iPhone 5S will be the most successful launch ever by Apple .
Let’s remember that the iPhone 5 managed to sell 5 million units in the first 3 days of availability. But, just as Chowdhry has no qualms about commenting on his expectations of the iPhone 5S, he also has no qualms about commenting that he thinks that Apple is not doing all it could to stay at the top of the market .
The analyst goes further and says that Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, should resign and go back to focusing on what he does best. In the words of Chowdhry:
What do you think? Do you think the iPhone 5S will be a success or will it disappoint users because of the lack of new features and, above all, because it doesn’t have a bigger screen?
Confirmed! Apple will hold a Keynote on September 10th in which the final version of iOS 7 and a few iPhones will be presented. Maybe iPhone 5C, maybe iPhone 5S or even iPhone 6… Although there are also rumors about iPad 5 and iWatch. What will Apple surprise us with this time?
