iPhone 11 Pro vs. iPhone XS, what’s changed?

The arrival of a new iPhone always means a stir, and even more so when three new devices are launched as has been the case this year. On the one hand we have the iPhone 11, which would really be the successor to the iPhone XR of 2018. If we go to the top of the range devices we find the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, which will succeed the iPhone XS and XS Max. It is precisely these terminals that we will be dealing with in this article.

It is taken for granted that a recent iPhone is better than the previous generation. However, the difference is not always very big or noticeable to the user. However, this year we seem to find some differences between the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone XS .

The first difference between these devices is the one we find at first sight. While the iPhone XS and XS Max incorporated a dual camera rear , the iPhone 11 Pro added a triple lens . Also in the colours Apple’s 11 Pro has changed, and is that to the white, space grey and gold found in the XS has now been added a colour they have called ‘night green’.

The front end is where we see a clear resemblance and what could make the iPhone 11 Pro indistinguishable from the iPhone XS . We found that the OLED screen at first glance is identical in size and also in the presence of the ‘notch’, that famous eyebrow that has been incorporated into the iPhone for 2 years and that incorporates the sensors that allow the sophisticated facial unlocking, the Face ID.

Now we go with a more technical table in which to see the differences and similarities better :

So on paper, it seems that the main improvement of the iPhone 11 Pro over its predecessor, the iPhone XS, is more focused on the camera arena. Beyond that, and if you’re here to decide which one to buy, we can’t tell you anything for sure because it depends on several factors. The iPhone 11 Pro is obviously superior, but iPhone XS is still more than capable and will continue to be supported for many years to come. So, keep in mind which features are the most appealing to you considering the money you are willing to pay, go for the one that suits you best and above all… Enjoy it!
