On September 18th we can all install iOS 7 on our iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch
Apple has officially confirmed today that the new iOS 7 will be available for download from September 18th. As rumored a few weeks ago, the final version of Apple’s new operating system was very close, even though the Golden Master version has not been released yet.
During today’s keynote, Craig Federighi has confirmed September 18 as the official date from which iOS 7 will be available for all users’ compatible devices .
The final version of iOS 7 will be available for download completely free of charge from September 18
As usual, Apple has started by quickly reviewing the main features of iOS 7 (much faster than they did in the last WWDC in June). As he demonstrated in the last keynote, Federighi has taken the stage to demonstrate the benefits of the new iOS 7.
In a matter of minutes, we were able to see the main features included in the new operating system , highlighting at all times the renewed and fantastic design that iOS now looks like.
To mention a few: the new notification center, iTunes Radio, the multitasking, Siri, Safari or the renewed Camera app. Federighi has also pointed out new alert and calling tones in iOS 7 , a good news that will offer us an alternative to the typical tri-tone.
As expected, the release of the final version of iOS 7 will coincide with the launch of the new iPhone models a few days later. Do you want to know if the new iOS 7 will be compatible with your current device?
iOS 7 Compatible Devices
Although Apple has already released the official list of devices that would be compatible with iOS 7, we’ve been able to look at it again so there’s no room for misunderstanding.
- iPhone 4, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5.
- iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4.
- iPad Mini.
- iPod Touch (5th generation).
Of course this list does not include the new iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S that Apple has released today, but obviously it will be available for them as well, in fact, they will already have it installed when they reach the hands of their buyers.
We only have to wait until September 18th to have iOS 7 on our devices and enjoy the new experience and possibilities that Apple offers us . Could Cupertino’s have solved all the bugs that were registered in previous versions of the beta? In just over a week we’ll be out of the woods.
