iOS 6.1 reports battery or heating problems, and operators warn users

It’s not the first time that an iOS update brings more problems than it solves. This seems to be the case with iOS 6.1, which according to some European operators would be causing battery problems due to poor management of the 3G data connection, resulting in overheating at times. Vodafone UK and 3 Austria are already warning their users not to upgrade yet.

Since the release of the iPhone 5, many users have reported problems with battery life , which seemed to disappear in iOS 6.0.2.

However, a few weeks after the release of the 6.1 update, and with the jailbreak in full swing, users seem to be complaining again about battery life issues , and even phone overheating.

This is why two European operators have advised their customers not to update to iOS 6.1 yet, which could even lead to coverage problems.

Vodafone UK warned its users on Friday on the company’s official forum. The operator 3 Austria did the same on its Facebook page. However, no Spanish operator has echoed these problems, not even Vodafone Spain.

However, these announcements seem to have come a little late, as iOS 6.1 was released at the end of January, and the adoption rate in iOS for new updates is quite high. I have not noticed anything strange on my Vodafone iPhone 5, have you?
