Throughout the morning we’ve been getting all kinds of rumors about iOS 14. First we learned that the new version of the software might include full mouse and trackpad support for iPhone and iPad.

Later, we discovered that Apple might be working on new features for Messages, the messaging application would incorporate a system of mentions, message removal and status updates.

And now we’ve been able to find out that iOS 14 could allow users to transcribe writing with Apple Pencil into text. And this is a feature that could be available throughout the system.

You may be interested in iPadOS , which supports applications such as Messages, Notes, Reminders, Calendar, Mail and even Safari. Apple does not currently have a similar feature capable of transcribing handwritten text into standard text, although Notes has a feature that recognizes handwritten words in your search.

In addition, it appears that third-party applications on the App Store may also be compatible with PencilKit.

Again, as we mentioned with the rest of the filtered features of iOS 14 and iPadOS 14, it is unknown if these new features will see the light soon or will be delayed to future versions of Apple’s mobile software. Either way, these are very interesting features worth considering.
