iOS 12.4.3 now available to all those who cannot upgrade to iOS 13

The wave of new developments from Apple in the last few hours has been considerable. Besides the new AirPods Pro we have a lot of updates to iOS 13.2, iPadOS 13.2 or HomePod. But there’s even more, Apple has released a previous version of iOS for the iPhone and iPad that cannot be updated to the latest version.

While most users are already on iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, some cannot upgrade because their device is not supported. For them Apple has released iOS 12.4.3 , which can now be downloaded via OTA on these devices.

iOS 12.4.3 is designed for the iPhone 5s, the iPhone 6, the first generation iPad Air, the second and third generation iPad mini and the sixth generation iPod touch . Older models can no longer be upgraded and will remain on even older versions of iOS.

What does this update include? What is new is not, according to Apple, it is a security update . As always, it is recommended that you install it and update your device to the latest version available. If Apple has released this new update despite going for iOS 13.2 already… it is because some major security bug has had to be fixed.
