OS X Mavericks is probably the most advanced and stable operating system at the moment. That’s why in Applesupportphonenumber we want to dedicate special attention to it, launching a series of articles in which we show how to make the most of Apple’s new operating system. Today we are going to see how to install from scratch or upgrade our Mac to the latest version of OS X.
Just a few minutes ago the guys at Cupertino released OS X Mavericks for the general public and how we know you’re eager to install this new version we’re going to tell you how it should be done, whether you want to upgrade your Mac or a clean upgrade.
First of all I recommend you to read the previous steps before installing OS X Mavericks , which we published a few days ago. There you’ll see how to create a backup – just in case – and whether your Mac is compatible with this new version.
Now we’re going to show you in a step-by-step video how to download and install OS X Mavericks on your Mac .
Upgrade to OS X Mavericks
This doesn’t delete our files, it’s the simplest option and installs the latest version of OS X with all its new features. The steps to follow are shown below in the video:
Create a clean installation of OS X Mavericks
This means that we erase the entire hard drive, thus cleaning up all the junk content that has been generated since the last clean installation. This is a process that leaves the computer free and makes it much faster . The recommended option, but first you should backup all the files you still need and don’t want to lose.
And what option do you choose? , don’t hesitate to leave it in the comments. Finally, we remind you once again that the best thing to do is to have a backup of your files before updating or installing your operating system.
