Little by little we’re learning more about the next update to Snow Leopard, Mac OS X version 10.6.3. A little more than 10 days ago we knew that it started experimenting with Open GL 3.0 support, and now a new beta delivered to the developers (with the number of build from 10D522) reveals us other improvements that the package will include.
Apparently we’ll see significant improvements in QuickTime X , which will gain security, speed and compatibility with the formats it supports. We’ll also see improvements in the system’s printing routines and more compatibility with third-party printers, as well as applications that use OpenGL that will gain stability.
The update to Mac OS X 10.6.3 is also intended to improve the performance of Logic Pro to 64-bit , the recently released version of the program. Apple has asked developers to focus on testing VoiceOver and applications that use the AirPort module.
We don’t know if Mac OS X 10.6.3 will bring any kind of improvement or news related to the new features we’ll see at the event taking place in 4 days, although it’s always good news to know that Mac OS X development is going ahead.
