IMDb finally lands on the iPhone

IMDb (enlace iTunes)

I’ve been waiting for this for a long time, so imagine my joy when I discover that the archaic film database IMDb (Internet Movie Database) has released its own application for the iPhone, making it easier than ever to access comprehensive information about more than 1.5 million movies and series, and 3.2 million celebrities.

The application fulfils its task in an impeccable way and starting from a first screen from which we can access its search engine and the main sections of the website (including rankings, box office, releases of the week…) we find all the cross information of the films, series, actors, directors and other technical equipment together with their photographs and trailers . As you can see, it can hardly be more complete and perhaps the only absence is the options for registered users to access their account and participate.

Although at the moment it is only available in the US App Store, for free , it is expected to reach the rest in a matter of days. If you are not very willing to wait, there is always the solution of creating an iTunes account for the USA to use in parallel with your country.

Thanks to Otto Schmilinsky for the ad!
