IKEA parodies Apple with the announcement of its new 2015 catalogue

9to5mac

IKEA has just launched the latest edition of its catalogue of Swedish branded new products for the home, and has done so with a fun ad that directly parodies the original video of launching the iPad used by Apple in 2010. Following to the letter the style to which Jonathan Ive has us so accustomed, IKEA proposes us to experience his revolutionary bookbook of only 8mm thick, less than 400 grams of weight and a battery that lasts a lifetime.

The IKEA 2015 Catalogue comes pre-installed with hundreds of ideas for furnishing our home and even features a product website with not a few references to the apple and its tablet, including the once revolutionary Smart Cover. Take a look at the page, the video, and the presentation of the magazine in a package that will also be more than familiar to you.

Joking apart, you can check out the web version of the new catalogue or download its official app for iOS from the App Store to browse its pages in a more interactive way, with videos, 360º environments and a 3D augmented reality system with which to check in situ how a piece of furniture looks in our house.
