Apple has released a new iCloud application . Since the service is 100% integrated into the system in macOS, the app is intended for Windows users who want to access their files and apps in iCloud from a PC. Windows Blog

As shared by Microsoft in its official blog, this is Apple’s new app for accessing iCloud and everything it has to offer. Once users download it from the Microsoft store on their Windows PC, they can perform different functions such as viewing photos and videos from the Photo Library, accessing documents from the iCloud Drive or synchronizing Safari bookmarks with EdgeFirefoxInternet ExplorerChrome among other things.

The app includes among other options also Mail, Contacts, Photos, Calendar or Reminders. In fact, from the same app you can also manage your iCloud account to change available storage or other preferences.

iCloud for Windows is basically a version of iCloud Web more integrated into Windows . That’s why it’s possible for example to access iCloud Drive folders from File Explorer. According to Microsoft, this integration with File Explorer uses the same technology as OneDrive to enable offline work and subsequent synchronisation.
