Between June 8 and 12, the Moscone Center in San Francisco will host WWDC15. The World Developer’s Conference will be available live online and today we show you how you can do it from an Android device or a Windows computer .
The other day we were already anticipating that Apple will offer the WWDC15 through the Apple TV, but not everyone has this device. That’s why opens the door to everyone who doesn’t want to miss the inaugural Keynote , regardless of whether you’re using an iOS, Mac, Android or Windows device.
The WWDC15 will kick off with the inaugural Keynote which will take place on Monday 8 June at 10am Pacific Time (7pm GMT, 1 hour earlier in the Canary Islands) . But we won’t keep you any longer and we’ll explain how you can watch the WWDC15 Keynote live from Android and Windows. Let’s go!
Viewing the WWDC15 Keynote on Android and Windows
In this edition of the WWDC15, iOS 9 and OS X 10.11 are expected to introduce the world to the new versions of their two operating systems. As usual, Apple has enabled a website through which the Keynote can be followed live, although it is limited to Mac computers, iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
If you don’t have one of these devices you don’t have to worry, because there is also the possibility to view the WWDC15 Keynote from a Windows computer or an Android device . To do this, you have to use VLC, a free video player capable of reading Apple’s livestream data and displaying the video.
The steps to follow are quite simple. The first thing you need to do is download VLC onto your device (here is the link for Windows) and once you have done this open it.
Go to the Media tab and select the “Open Network Stream” option . In the case of Android it’s a little different, but all you have to do is look for the option where you can paste a video link.
Then, in the URL field you must paste the address that appears below these lines . This URL is the video stream that Apple TV will use internally to display the WWDC15 Keynote next Monday. Ready!
The only thing left to do is press the Play button to start playing . From 9to5Mac they point out that it will most likely not be available until the Keynote starts, which reminds you that it will be at 7pm in our country (6pm if you are in the Canary Islands).
Download the WWDC app to your iPhone or iPad
Finally, don’t forget that Apple has a WWDC application that you can download for free on your iPhone or iPad. You can use it to find out everything that’s going on at this great Apple event that brings together developers from all over the world.
Of course, at iPadizate we will be on hand to bring you all the news and things discussed in this inaugural WWDC15 Keynote . So, we invite you to follow this great event with us on the 8th of June in the afternoon.
