As with iPhones, iPads, iPods or Macs, the Apple Watch has the ability to take screenshots of its own , instead of taking pictures directly to the smartwatch when we want to save something interesting from the watch.
Let’s continue with our manuals and tricks for the Apple Watch, now that the clock is practically around the corner and in two weeks we can go to the Spanish Apple Store to get it. If you want to learn how to capture the apple smartwatch in a simple way, just continue reading this short tutorial.
How to take a screenshot of the Apple Watch
You’re probably tired of taking snapshots with your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to save everything you’re interested in and share it even on social networks. You can do just that with smartwatch, so we’re going to tell you how to capture the Apple Watch screen in this simple tutorial .
- The first thing you do is press and hold the side button on the Apple Watch, just below the digital crown. Once you have the button pressed, simply press the digital crown and release it immediately.
- You can also press both buttons at the same time to make the capture, but it is more advisable to do it with the method we have explained above.
You will know that you have taken the screenshot once it flashes, as is the case with iOS and compatible devices. The way to take screenshots on the Apple Watch is very similar to how you do it on other iOS devices, where you have to press the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time.
Where are the catches stored?
On the iPhone, iPad or Mac the captures are stored in the gallery or in the Photo application, but in the Apple Watch the captures you make are not saved in the memory of the watch itself. Screenshots you take with the Apple Watch are saved as PNG files in the Photos application on your iPhone or in the iCloud Photo Library if you’re using it. And with the iCloud Photo Library, you can enjoy your screenshots on any device you’re connected to.
Apple Watch captures are small, with only 216×290 pixels resolution for the 42mm clock, so transfer is fast and takes up little storage space, but Apple has chosen to store them outside the smartwatch.
Little by little we are offering you a series of tutorials so that you can start using the Apple Watch from the first day it arrives at the stores in Spain and Mexico, as well as in other new countries, starting on June 26th. We’ve already told you how to change the Watch’s straps and in the next few days we’ll offer you more tutorials for the Apple Watch, but if you have any questions that we haven’t answered yet or you want to know how to perform a function related to the watch, you can leave them in the comments and we’ll try to solve them as soon as possible. We have known this tutorial thanks to iDownloadBlog.
