How to restore the factory settings of your Airport Extreme or Time Capsule

Cómo solucionar los problemas de velocidad de tu red Wi-Fi con AirPort o Time Capsule
Although, as we discussed some time ago at Apple, Apple acknowledges that both its Airport Express and Time Capsule devices have manufacturing flaws in their early models, the truth is that I have been lucky enough not to encounter such problems.

My problem has been much more curious and is that, instead of saying die, my Time Capsule decided to enter a constant loop of resets . Any changes made to the configuration of this loop would result in a constant reboot of the computer without reaching any port.

Like all routers, the Apple computer includes a small reset button, although this button only resets the computer (preferences, passwords… a quick way to leave it as the first day) not being able to reinstall its software. To do this last step, not easy if your computer does the same crazy things as mine, you need to use the Airport Utility.

To reinstall the firmware of our equipment we will have to select it with the Airport Utility, if you can not perform this step first restart the equipment to the factory settings, and then download the latest version of the firmware and update your equipment.

One final little trick, don’t panic if Time Machine can’t find your Time Capsule disc, simply reselect it so that Time Machine can pick up where it left off.
