A powerful application that knows how to take advantage of the device it is in, just as we saw at the time. Now comes a new version, Halide 1.8 with native application for the Apple Watch, improvements in privacy, photo gallery and timer, among other things.
In the last few months we’ve seen multiple apps leave the Apple Watch. Developing an app for one platform is expensive, so developers prefer to focus on devices where they’re really useful. Halide however is an app that makes sense in the Apple Watch , especially when shooting an image. Like the default Apple app, Halide in the Apple Watch shows us the real time what the iPhone is focusing on so we can shoot from the clock without moving or having the phone close.
On the other hand, the app’s new automatic timer allows us to take one or more pictures without having to touch the phone. This is ideal for those who do not have an Apple Watch. The LED flashes before the picture is taken, similar to the default Apple app.
There are more improvements, for example the revision of the gallery images now has a gridded view for easier navigation. But above all, there are privacy improvements, allowing you to configure when to capture the location of photos and when not. Accessibility has also been improved with dynamic text, where the whole interface will automatically adapt to the size of the font.
Halide for iOS is available in the App Store, you can purchase it for a total of 6.99 euros, without any in-app purchase or subscription. Is it worth paying so much for a photo app? It’s not just any app , the options it offers and the convenience it provides mean you won’t regret it.
