Google for Work

I already mentioned it, Google wants to conquer iOS and each new implementation confirms that its presence in Apple devices is here to stay , with this I don’t mean that it’s a bad thing, on the contrary, we have more options that make our iPhone or iPad a versatile tool, in this case with options for work issues.

Google has just announced that next week iOS Sync will be available, a business-focused solution that aims to provide a secure management tool for companies with employees who use iPhone or iPad, making all information shared through Gmail or Google Drive travel encrypted and visible only on devices authorized for work purposes within the company.

With this, the company’s administrator(s) will be able to send immediately and easily to all devices , certificates and passwords for connection to secure WiFi networks, connection policies or the use of the camera, which can be limited to outdoor use and blocked for indoor use, as well as restrict image sharing, all with the intention of keeping the information handled within the companies secure and thus avoid possible leaks of information .

On the other hand, it will also allow such devices to be remotely locked, to stop working if the SIM card is changed, until the entire contents of the device are remotely erased . All this is available to those who have decided to hire Google Apps services for work, education or government, thus taking a new step, since this tool was only available on Android devices through device management, and now with iOS Sync, companies are given the option to use iPhone or iPad within their workforce with the same degree of security.

Google iOS Sync will be compatible with iOS 7 or 8 , as well as the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. To activate, administrators will need to log into the device management console in Google Apps to install the certificate and privileges on each new device.
