Google continues with its plan to conquer iOS even if Apple doesn’t want to , bringing all its product range to create an ecosystem by jumping from application to application offering its services in a simple and uncomplicated way.

Today it is the turn of Gmail to update its app, which incorporates few but good improvements, among which is the incorporation and greater prominence of its storage service Google Drive .

Now when we receive an email with attached files, besides being able to visualize it as usual, now we will be able to save it directly in Google Drive and thus access it from anywhere else, without having to take up space on our device or consume data when downloading it.

Similarly, if we are out and need to send an urgent email and we have the file saved in Google Drive, we can attach files of up to 1TB to the message without so many steps, since everything is done directly from the application.

As a further improvement, we have the possibility to change our profile picture in the settings, and in case we have several accounts enabled, choose which ones will be visible without removing them from the application .

The Gmail version for iOS is 3.14159 (yes, like the number ?) and is now available for download from the App Store compatible from iOS 6 with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
